Propositions on the AGM agenda to date:
- To delete Rule 10.1 that reads:
10.1 For representative teams consisting of more than 7 players the Ladies Selection Committee will consist of 5 members, preferably one representative from each of the main five island bowls clubs; 3 members not in contention for selection, who must have a minimum of 10 years bowls experience played at a competitive level and 2 members who may be eligible for selection but must have represented Jersey at International level.
2. To delete Rule 10.1.1 that reads:
10.1.1 For representative teams consisting of 7 players or less, the Selection Committee shall consist of the same 5 members mentioned in Rule 10.1. provided the 2 selectors in contention renounce their in contention position. The remaining selectors the constitute the committee.
3. To delete Rule 10.1.2 that reads:
10.1.2 An Ombudsman shall be elected to attend selection meetings, act as a liaison officer between selectors and players and co-opt additional members, as in 10.1.1, but will not have a vote.
4. To delete Rule 10.1.3 that reads:
10.1.3 The Men’s Selection Committee shall comprise 3 Selectors who have played at Inter- insular or international level and who have a minimum of eight years bowls experience. They may be in contention for selection at Inter- insular but not International level.
5. To create new Rule 10.1 through 10.3:
10.1 The Men’s Selection Committee shall comprise 3 male Selectors, and the Ladies Selection will comprise of 3 female selectors, all of who have played at Inter- insular or international level and who have a minimum of eight years bowls experience. They may be in contention for selection at Inter- insular but not International level.
10.2 All events requiring a representative Bowls Jersey side will be selected by the Selection Committees with the exception of the Ladies British Isles Ladies International Series Team.
10.3 For Selection of the Ladies British Isles Ladies International Series Team, a Team Manager and Assistant Team Manager will be appointed by the Bowls Jersey Committee.
10.3.1 Candidates seeking to become the Team Manager/Assistant Team Manager will be expected to apply to the Management Committee and hold the position for a two year term;
10.3.2 The appointed Team Managers will be responsible for the creation of the squad, the training of the squad, the development path of the squad, the final selection of the Series Team and the active management of the team during the Series;
10.3.3 In the event Bowls Jersey Management is unable to appoint a Team Manager and/or Assistant Team Manager, the responsibility is returned to the Ladies Selection Committee.
6. To replace Rule 11.11 that currently reads:
11.11 A Selector may be appointed as a Team Manager. However if the Selector is a “not in contention” member of the Selection Committee he or she may not be appointed where there is a requirement for a travelling reserve/Team Manager.

7. To replace Rule 12.3 that currently reads:
12.3 Team Managers must upon return from an event submit in writing to the appropriate Selection Committee a full, confidential and comprehensive report of results, performances and behaviour of the team and of each individual player both on and off the green whilst at the event. The Team Manager shall also arrange to meet with the Selection Committee to verbally discuss his/her report. This report must be kept on file and made available to future Selection Committees;
12.3 Team Managers must upon return from an event submit in writing to the appropriate Selection Committee a full and comprehensive report of results and performances of each individual player on the green. The Team Manager can be called upon to meet with the Selection Committee to verbally discuss his/her report. This report must be kept on file and made available to future Selection Committees;
8. To replace Rule 12.4 that currently reads:
12.4 All Team Managers must copy any areas of their report, which refers to misbehaviour by players to the Honorary Secretary so that this can be drawn to the attention of the Management Committee;
12.4 Team Managers must give a separate report, if required, that covers off the green misdemeanours such breach of Code of Conduct by players to the Honorary Secretary so that this can be drawn to the attention of the Management Committee;
9. To replace Rule 22.10 that currently reads:
22.10 Affiliated Clubs with teams in the A league and, if an Affiliated Club has two teams in the same league must register their players in writing to the Competition Secretary at least 48 hours prior to the first game of the season.
22.10 Affiliated Clubs must submit in writing to the Competition Secretary at least 48 hours before the first league game of the season, regardless of whether the first game is an A or B league fixture, the names of their A league squad, and if an affiliated club has two teams in the B league then affiliated clubs are further required to register the names of their two B league squads;
10. To create rule 25: Safeguarding that reads:
25.1 Bowls Jersey shall maintain a Safeguarding policy which shall be published on the Association Website and in the red competition books at clubs;
25.2 Bowls Jersey Management Committee shall appoint a Safeguarding Officer on an annual basis who has been appropriately trained for the role;
25.2.1 The Safeguarding Officer does not need to be a member of the Management Committee and can be from any affiliated club;
