Friday 13th, perhaps an apt day(!), saw the Annual Presidents Day competition.
A very jovial evening where teams skipped by men competed against teams skipped by ladies – and the Ladies had not won the trophy for 7 years!
However, this year their long wait was avenged and the Ladies snuck it 106-96.
Bowls Jersey President thanked all those present for their continued contributions to their own Club infrastructure, and re-iterated his thanks to his own Committee who have supported the programme or moderate modernisation and change. He also gave a brief update of some Bowls Jersey initiatives.
“The Wooden Spoon” – presented to the skips of the Bowls Jersey Rink and St Saviours rinks for dropping a “considerably” high count in one end.
The Ladies rink with the highest winning shot difference – Post Office Ladies
The highest shot difference winning Men’s rink, the JBC – we are aware Marcus’ face has since returned to normal š
